

He was born Sept. 25, 1929 in Middletown, NY the son of the late Harry O. and Cassandra (Casey) Wells Posten. He retired from New Britain Post Office after 30 years as a letter carrier. Prior to the post office he worked at Lander, Frary and Clark where he was a Union Steward and a member of United Electrical Worker Union Local #207. He was a Union vice president with GE. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and was a professional Duck Pin Bowler and was an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his children, Karen Kisluk-Welch and her husband Michael of Southington, Michael Posten and his wife Tina of Burlington. He also leaves his 6 grandchildren, Joshua Kisluk, Jeremy Kisluk, James Posten, Christopher Posten, Tyler Posten and Kristina Posten. He also leaves his great grandson Camden Kisluk. He was predeceased by a son James Posten, a daughter Diane Calderone and two brothers, Harry and Richard Posten.
The Funeral will be held Friday, 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington to St. Dominic Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be with Military Honors at Oak Hill Cemetery.
