

Jean was born in Waterbury June 28, 1940, daughter of the late Emile and Evelyn (Allen) Cambigue. She was raised in Waterbury but lived and raised her family in Wolcott for many years.
Jean was an avid doll collector in her younger years and was considered an expert in this field and was known as “The Doll Lady.” She was also a water dowser and was sought after for this unique gift.
Jean leaves behind her sons, David Vallancourt, and Donald Vallancourt and his wife Kelly, all of Wolcott, to cherish their memories of her; along with her three beloved grandchildren, Nicholas Jones Vallancourt, Alexis and Lindsey Vallancourt; two great-granddaughters and a great-grandson expected October, 2020; also her brother Arthur Cambigue of Tennessee; sister Andrea Lewis of California; her ex-husband Edward Vallancourt; and many nieces, nephews and friends, which include the wonderful staff of Wolcott View Manor where she resided for many years.
Jean was loved by many and will be truly missed.
Jean was predeceased by her son, Tom Vallancourt, and siblings Helene Battistone, William Cambigue and Richard Cambigue.
