Jeannette Marie Fortin

She was the loving wife of Roland J. Fortin Sr. for 71 years.

She was born June 5, 1933 in Bristol Hospital and a lifelong resident of Southington. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Lydia (Pelletier) Seneschal.

Jeannette was the proud owner of Concepts and Motion on Meriden-Waterbury Rd and a driver for the Calendar House. Until her retirement in 2019 she was a school bus driver and trainer for the Southington Schools where she received many awards for safety and attendance.

She had a strong Christian faith and was a longtime active member of the Faith Living Church in Plantsville. She was a greeter, taught bible study and a vacation bible school volunteer for many years.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her five children, Rita F. Paradis and husband Ken of FL, Roland J. Fortin Jr. and wife Estelle of VA, Michael J. Fortin Sr. and wife Kelly of Plantsville, Paul T. Fortin Sr. and wife Roseann of Plantsville and Brian D. Fortin Carter and husband John of FL; a sister Victoria "Vicky" Jones of New Britain; six grandchildren, Matthew, Jennifer, Stephanie, Miranda, Breanna and Trenton, ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and her dog Sassy.

She was predeceased by her infant son William, three grandsons, Roland J. Fortin III, Michael J. Fortin Jr and Paul T. Fortin Jr.; two brothers, Joe Chretien and Fred Seneschal and five sisters, Florence Bouchard, Dorothy LaBonte, Rosemarie Seneschal, Theresa Flanagan and Joanne Marandino.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to Faith Living Church, 20 grove st., Plantsville. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
