She was born on Dec. 2, 1933 in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of the late Albert and Angelina (St. Onge) Roussel. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church.
Mrs. Daigle is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Greta Daigle of Schenectady, NY, Guy and Susan Daigle of Bristol, Robert and Deidre Daigle of Amston, eight grandchildren, Letty and husband Jim Gingell of Schenectady, NY, Maurice and wife Sally Daigle of Albuquerque, NM, Leah Daigle and fiancée Bruce Lear of Broadalbin, NY, Steven and wife Melissa Daigle of Schenectady, NY, Ryan and wife Anna Daigle of Acworth, GA, Matthew and wife Kaleigh Daigle of N. Chelmsford, MA, Marie Daigle and James Daigle of Amston, nine great-grandchildren, Bruce, Gavin, Katelynn, Kristian, Maurice, Sally, Lilly, Trace and Steacy. She also leaves three brothers, Robert Roussel and partner Sylvin, Yvon Roussel and Gilles Roussel and wife Linda all of Canada, four sisters, Rina Ouellette and husband Conrad, Germaine LaPlante, Jacqueline Albert and husband Bert all of ME, and Rachel McAskill and husband Winston of Canada. Her survivors also include her sisters-in-law Jacqueline Roussel and Lucienne Roussel of Canada and Muriel Plourde of LI, NY, Theresa Daigle of FL and Lynn Daigle of CT also a brother-in-law Richard Daigle and wife Claire, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Maurice and Jacque Roussel.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September, 29, 2014 at 11 am at St. Thomas Church; 99 Bristol St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. on Monday morning from 9:30-10:30 am.
