Joan M. Cavanaugh-Macary, 57, of Plantsville, passed away on September 17, 2020. She was the loving wife of Douglas Macary.

Joan was born on July 28, 1963 in Waterbury to the late Joan E. (Doumouchel) and Robert Cavanaugh. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School and for many years worked as a unit clerk at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury.

She loved hummingbirds, outings with her daughter, antique shopping, decorating, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband Doug, she leaves behind her daughter Dianna S. Macary of New Britain; her brothers Paul Cavanaugh and his wife Yukyung of Southington, and Robert Cavanaugh and his wife Dana of Fairfield; her sister Susan Maia and her husband Frank of Southington; as well as many nieces and nephews.
