John F. Calnan

at HCC of Bradley Memorial. He was the husband of Halina Calnan.

He was born April 3, 1930 in Boston, MA, son of the late John F.Sr. and Margaret (McBride) Calnan.

He had retired from Metropolitan District Commission in Harford and formerly worked for several steel industry companies. He was a veteran of U.S. Army serving in the Korean War.

Besides his wife he is survived by three children, Stephen Calnan of San Francisco, CA, Michelle Calnan and Michael Calnan both of MA, a sister Ann Daley and husband James of Watertown, MA, a brother Robert Calnan and wife Fran of CA, 4 grandchildren, Stephanie, Jason, Joseph and Colby and many nieces and nephews all of MA.

The Funeral will be held Monday August 8, 2011 at 9 a.m. from the Stanton Funeral Home, 786 Mt. Auburn St Watertown, MA to the Sacred Heart Church at 10 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be with Military Honors at the V.A National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4-7
