

He was born Feb. 25, 1930 in Southington son of the late Walter and Mary (Pajor) Kozlowski. John grew up on a dairy farm and he graduated from Lewis High School in 1947. He graduated in 1949 from the Allen School of Aeronautic. He joined the United States Air Force and was in from 1950 to 1954 as an Airmen 1st class, during which time he served in the Korean War. He had worked at Meriden Airport and at Sikorsky?s for 2 years then transferred to Pratt & Whitney in Southington where he worked for 37 years before retiring. He was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. He loved gardening, polka music and joking around.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son Robert Kozlowski of Southington, and 2 daughters, Debra Bodner and her husband Paul of Branford, and Lisa Kozlowski and her husband Christopher Jagodzinski of Havertown, PA. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren who called him Pop-pop, Christopher, Meglin, and Jonathan Bodner and Zachary Jagodzinski. He was predeceased by a sister Pauline Kozlowski and brothers, Leon, Edward, Stanley and Joseph Kozlowski
The Funeral will be Tuesday 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to the Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Summer St. at 10 a.m. Burial will be with Military honors at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
