He was born October 29, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Joseph and Helen (Quinn) Adams. Joseph served in the US Army during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, Joseph was a Civil Engineer and was the Southington Town Engineer for 5 years and later worked for himself at Adams Associates.
Joseph is survived by a son Jeffrey Adams of Southington, a brother Thomas Adams of MD, sisters Susanna Simone of Southington and Elizabeth Johnson of VT, along with several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his former wife Patricia Griffin of Plantsville. He was predeceased by a daughter Meghan Adams and a son Jason Adams.
A Memorial Service with Military Honors to follow will be held on Tuesday June 28, 2016 at 7 pm at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5-7 pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
