

Joseph was born in New Britain on April 2, 1942 son of the late Corrado and Celia (Frazetta) LaRosa. Joseph worked at Allstate Insurance in Bristol for over 30 years and had previously been a teacher. For many years he served on the Southington Zoning Board of Appeals. Joseph was a member of The Lord?s Social Club in New Britain and a parishioner of Mary Our Queen Church. He loved traveling, fishing, boating and most of all being with his grandchildren.
Joseph was a friend to all, a caring man that had a trusting soul. He was able to communicate with all and always left a lasting impression. He cherished the deep rooted friendships from his childhood that became a monthly breakfast group affectionately known as ?The Good Old Boys?.
Besides his wife, Joseph is survived by his sons Joseph M. LaRosa and wife Pamela, Mark A. LaRosa and wife Lisa, and James LaRosa and wife Julie all of Southington, brothers R. Salvatore LaRosa and wife Barabara of Orlando, FL, Frank LaRosa and wife Dorothy of Southington, and Carl LaRosa and wife JoAnn of Whales, MA, four grandchildren Logan, Tanner, Colin and Mya LaRosa, along with several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Joseph was predeceased by a brother Salvatore and a sister Ida LaRosa.
The Funeral will be Monday April 9, 2012 at 10:15 from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St., Plantsville for Mass at 11:00. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday April 6, 2012 from 4-7 p.m.
