Born on May 30, 1953, in Southington, Joe was the son of Lorraine (D’Efemia) Ouellette and the late Joseph Reno Ouellette. He worked for many years in the insurance industry.
In addition to his mother, Lorraine, Joe leaves behind his two beloved daughters, Rhiannon Ouellette and her fiancé, John Palmisano, of Bristol, and Morgan Ouellette-Yeh and her husband, Andy, of New Britain. He is also survived by his brother, John Ouellette and his wife, Barbara, of Southington; his sisters, Ramona Hurley of East Hampton and Mary Bisson and her husband, Gary, of Oakville; and his brother-in-law, Robert Berkmoes, of Southington. He was predeceased by his sister, Denise Berkmoes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt Street, Plantsville. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be held prior to the Mass from 7:15 to 8:15 a.m. at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Southington.
