

Born in Riviere-la-Madeleine, Canada on December 18, 1933, he was the son of the late George and Angeline Synnett. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Ryder-Penske Truck Rental Co. as a district service manager and from the City of Waterbury serving as a constable for many years.
For many he was known as Fred and for his involvement in the Waterbury Elks Lodge #265 where he served as exalted ruler. He was also a past Master of Liberty Continental Lodge #76 of the Masons and a member of the Shriners. He was also a member of the VFW post 1979 and American Legion Post #165 both in Wolcott.
Besides his devoted wife, he is survived by his children Donald A. Synnett of Dallas, GA, Donna Jean Synnett of Paris, France, Doreen Ann Synnett and Dwayne J. Synnett both of Waterbury, two grandchildren Danielle and Deanna Synnett and a great grandson Seth Estabrook. He is also survived by a brother Gerald Gillard and was predeceased by a brother and a sister.
