Justin L. Flynn

Born in Southington on June 14, 1926, son of the late John J. and Mary E. (Welch) Flynn.

He was in the US Navy during WWII. Mr. Flynn was a former professional boxer and had worked at the Flynn Home for the Aged with his family for many years. He had a great love for his family, and was a proud brother and uncle.

He is survived by his brother Bernard J. Flynn and wife Frances of Southington, his many nieces and nephews including William Martin, Sharyn Murphy, Kathleen Flynn- Gleeson, Maureen Flynn-Smith, Bernard M. Flynn, Eileen Flynn-Hawkins, Margaret Flynn, Jeffrey Martin, Spencer Martin, Erin Flynn, Noel Savino, Brendan Kilburn and Brittany Kilburn.

He was predeceased by a twin brother Leo, a sister Margaret Murphy and a nephew Shawn Murphy.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 11 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Road, Southington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St is assisting with arrangements.
