Karen J. Ciervo

Karen was born in New Britain on June 14, 1961 daughter of Marion (Steele) Bednarek of New Britain and the late John Bednarek.

Karen was a devoted wife, mother and daughter and she was a beloved friend. She was passionate about food, family and friends and there was nothing she loved more than opening her home and kitchen to us all. She was a woman of sophistication and grace, the heart and soul of her home and family, and shared with us her deep enjoyment of travel, film, art and beautiful things. We are so much richer because she chose to share her life and talents with us, and poorer for her passing.

In addition to her husband and mother, Karen is survived by her cherished children Emma, Colin, and Gryffin Ciervo all of New Britain, father-in-law and mother-in-law Richard and Peggy Ciervo of Southington, and a sister-in-law Christine M. Ciervo of Bristol.

Karen will be honored at a service of remembrance on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 North Main St. (at the intersection of Hobart Street) in Southington,
