Kathleen Peterson

Born on November 25, 1921 in Boston, Kathleen was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Anna-Marie (Wiedermann) Stowers.

Prior to her retirement Kathleen was a reporter for the Waterbury Republican American and Cheshire Herald for many years along with being a news broadcaster for WNTY in Southington. Kathleen was also a hostess at the Cabin Restaurant in Meriden. She was an avid Red Sox Fan and a stamp collector.

She is survived by her children, Eric Peterson of Cheshire, Carl Peterson of Middletown and David Peterson of Hartford; a brother Clifford Stowers of Maine; three grandchildren, Nathaniel Peterson of Meriden, Elizabeth Peterson of Daytona Beach, FL and John Peterson of Cheshire; one great-granddaughter Lydia Rose Lonas of FL and one niece and one nephew.

A graveside services will be held on Thursday, 1 p.m. at the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Legion Post 72, 66 Main St., Southington, CT 06489.
