Kathleen M Wight

Kathleen M (Abair) Wight, 73, of Naugatuck, widow of the late Donald Wight, passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, December 8, 2022. Kathleen was born in Meriden on February 16, 1949 and was the daughter of the late Albert Abair and Dorothy Ouellet, and was raised by her grandparents Alfred and Mildred Ouellet. A loving mother and sister, she adored spending time with them. She loved to watch soap operas, old T.V. shows, playing cards and hanging out with friends at the American Legion in Meriden. Kathleen is survived by her children, Carol Doria and her husband Michael of Waterbury and a son, Joseph Wight of Naugatuck. She was a doting mama (grandmother) to Ashlie Santiago, Lucas Doria and Hannah Doria. Kathleen is also survived by her siblings, her two brothers, Kenneth Wight and Brian Wight both of Plantsville and her six sisters, Donna Carroll of Meriden, Linda Charette of Plantsville, Dora Mayette of Southington, Sandra Goff of North Carolina, Patricia Weichsel of Southington and Nancy Hodgkins of Plantsville. She was predeceased by her sister, Laura White. A Memorial Service for Kathleen will be held at Thrive Church, 284 Town Hill Road, Terryville, CT 06786 on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 7:00 PM. Calling hours will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM prior to the service where light refreshments will be served. Burial will be private.
