Kenneth Allen Carlson

Kenneth Allen Carlson, 74, of the Plantsville section of Southington, beloved friend and husband of 35 years to Gloria (Pratt) Carlson, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut (New Britain Campus). Kenneth was born in New Britain on November 7, 1948 and was the son of the late Nels Artur and Cecelia (Kasper) Carlson. He retired a truck driver from A. Duie Pyle in Southington. Kenneth was an avid golfer who also loved going on long rides, going to the beach and being with his family. Kenneth was also a HUGE Giants fan and a Boston Red Sox fan. He was also a parishioner of St. Mark’s Church in New Britain. Besides his wife Gloria, he is survived by his two children; his daughter Stacey Carlson and her boyfriend Reggie Green of New Hampshire and also by his son, Nels David Carlson of Plantsville. He is also survived his three sisters; Karren Piatek and her husband Joseph of Marlborough, Kris McMahon of Tennessee and Cathy Bakula and her husband Joe, also of Tennessee. Kenneth also leaves behind a brother in law, David Potts of Plantsville, a sister in law, Stacey Kershaw and her husband Hawk of Illinois and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Cecelia Carlson a brother, Carl Carlson. All services for Kenneth will be private.
