On Friday July 5th at 5:45 pm, Kevin Allen Castonguay lost his life in a tragic motorcycle accident. Kevin was born Waterbury, Ct on October 13, 1992. Kevin was the beloved son of Bert Castonguay and Carla Lago Castonguay, Brother to Amanda Castonguay, grandson to George and Aline Castonguay and predeceased by John and Barbra Lago, nephew and cousin to a large loving family including the M.V.C. Kevin has made countless and irreplaceable friendships across the east coast. Kevin was a truly caring, compassionate and fearlessly selfless man. He was beyond his years in both character and integrity. Many people consider Kevin to be their best friend because of his willingness to lend a hand or a hug. A truly old soul, Kevin was never impressed by material objects; instead he focused on the priority of family and friends. If Kevin was alone, you could find him listening to his vintage record player while renovating his new home and wearing a classic rock shirt or his iconic flannels. Kevin had many passions including his driving career at Pool Water Pat where he utilized his CDL as well as, wood working, archery, motorcycle riding but most of all his iconic red 1987 Ford Mustang.
For those who were not lucky enough to know him, understand that Kevin was the light in our lives, the foundation of a good time and the root of laughter. At any gathering Kevin was always smiling and will forever have a space in our hearts.
There will be a Mass at 10 AM at the St. Pius X Church/ St. Basil Parish in Wolcott, Saturday July 13th. Calling hours are from 9-10 AM at the church.
