Laura Forgione

Southington-Laura G. Forgione, 85, formerly of Old Saybrook and Southington, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008 at the Alzheimer's Resource Center in Plantsville. She was the wife of the late Dr. Gerald Forgione.

Born in Elm, N.J. the daughter of the late James and Anna Grasso.

She was a interior decorator and designer and had worked in Fishers Island, NY and also at the former B.C. Porter Co. in New Britain. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church.

She is survived by a daughter Dr. Laureen Forgione-Rubino and her husband John of Farmington, a son Gerald H. Forgione and his wife Karin of NJ, 3 grandchildren, Jack and Lauren Rubino and J R Forigone, a brother James Grasso, 3 sisters Beatrice DeStefano, Rita Tomasso and Jean Camerota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday Jan. 7, 2008 at 9 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. There are no calling hours. DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. is assisting with arrangements.
