

Born in Waterbury on December 18, 1931, Leo was the son of the late Henri and Roseanna (Nault) Cote. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and following his military service, he was a successful Sales Rep for manufacturing companies throughout the Northeast. He eventually, became the longtime owner of Leo J. Cote and Associates, where he built a respected career through hard work, integrity, and dedication.
Leo lived an active and fulfilling life. An avid golfer, he was a longtime member of Watertown Country Club. He was also a passionate sports fan who especially enjoyed cheering on the Boston Red Sox and the UConn Huskies. For more than 40 years, Leo served as a Gold Test Figure Skating judge with the United States Figure Skating Association which kept him involved with the sport after his daughters retired from figure skating.
Leo will be deeply missed by his two daughters, Christine McManus and her husband, Michael, of Southington, and Celeste Cote-Estrada and her husband Orlando, of Bayside, New York. He is also survived by his three cherished grandchildren, Alyssa Caristia of Southington, Michael McManus and his wife, Rachel, of Bristol, and Emma Estrada of Tampa, Florida, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Leo was predeceased by his five sisters: Theresa Porrini, Annette DiNello, Fernande Ardito, Yvonne Hayes, and Simone Jesse.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Southington. A graveside service with military honors will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington. Leo will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, his distinguished service to his country, his professional accomplishments, and the kindness and integrity with which he lived his life.
