

SOUTHINGTON- Louis A. Tromboni, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday April 27, 2012 at his home. He was predeceased by his first wife Teresa (Cacase) Tromboni as well as his second wife Eleanor (Rund) Tromboni.
Louis was born in Sicily, Italy on July 29, 1918, son of the late Giovanni and Assunta (Delorenzo) Trombone. He served in the US Army during WWII and was a longtime employee of Stanley Works. He was a parishioner of Mary Our Queen Church in Plantsville and a cancer survivor.
?Papa Lou?, as he was fondly referred to by his close family, enjoyed square dancing, bowling, and eating breakfast at Mc Donald?s every morning with several great friends. He will be remembered for his kind demeanor and always dressing to impress.
Louis is survived by his brother Joseph Tromboni, three sisters Lena Dechichio , Julia Destasio and Mary Criniti. . He also leaves four step-children and their spouses, Lillian and Kenneth Tibbles of Naples, FL, Thomas and Mary-Ellen Rund of Rocky Hill, CT Gloria and Randy DePaolo of Plainville, Janet and Thomas Plocharczyk of Southington, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and two special god children. He will be deeply missed by his kind neighbors. Besides his two wives he was predeceased by a brother Mario Tromboni, and a sister Domenica Ginnetti.
Funeral will be Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. from DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. Southington to Mary Our Queen Church for a Mass at 11a.m. Burial with military honors will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery in New Britain. Calling hours are Monday from 5 to 8 PM.
