She was born in Quebec, Canada on June 24, 1938 to the late Marie (Dion) and Raoul Vallieres. Louiselle loved playing cards (especially Setback and Cribbage), enjoyed cooking, gardening, and also was an avid reader. She loved to sew and was an accomplished seamstress. She liked to paint and had hand-painted an entire Christmas village that her family would display during the Holidays. She had a giving heart and for many years travelled door-to-door raising money for the American Heart Association.
In addition to her husband Jean Claude, Louiselle is survived by her children Ann Cormier and her husband Eric of Bristol, Simon Lafontaine and his wife Heather of Southington, and Julie Colby and her husband Matthew of New Hampshire; her 8 grandchildren Austin, Adam, Tristan, Reese, Nolan, Sara, Sean, and Jack; her siblings Yvonique Vallieres and his wife Rose, Jeannine Cadoret and her husband Maurice, and Pauline Vallieres, all of Quebec; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Louiselle is predeceased by her parents, her sister Lisette Cadoret (Jacques).
The family of Louiselle is especially thankful for the wonderful care she received at the Summit of Plantsville and extraordinary care she received at Midstate Medical Center.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020 from 4-7pm at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N Main St., Southington. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 18, 2020 at 9am at the funeral home, processing to St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St., Southington for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery, 209 Belleview Ave., Southington.
