

Lucille (Pesce) Mancini, 91, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at The Hospital of Central Connecticut at New Britain General. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Joseph Mancini.
Born on November 7, 1933, in Waterbury, Lucille was the daughter of the late Anthony and Virginia (Carrozzo) Pesce.
Lucille dedicated many years of her life to serving others, retiring from Bradley Memorial Hospital where she worked in the Housekeeping Department. She also worked in the cafeteria at the former Plantsville Elementary School for eight years, where she took great joy in preparing lunches and sharing warm moments with the children.
An active volunteer with the Ride-4-Justin, Lucille was known for her generous spirit and commitment to her community. She was happiest when surrounded by her family, loved cooking, reading & solving word search puzzles. Lucille was known for her stories of the “good old days” and finishing a conversation with “what are ya gonna do”.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Donna Gleason of Plantsville; two cherished granddaughters, Michelle Daigle and her husband Christian of Southington, and Rachel Wisniewski and her husband Matthew, also of Southington; and four adored great-grandchildren, Olivia, Lucas, Teresa, and Joseph. Lucille was predeceased by her sister, Jeannie Guerriero.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 26th at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt Street, Plantsville. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Street, Southington, is entrusted with the arrangements.
