

Lucille was a lifelong resident of Southington and a parishioner of St. Dominic Church and the former St. Thomas Church and its Ladies Guild. She was a longtime employee of General Electric for over 35 years. She enjoyed golfing and bowling with her coworkers from GE.
Lucille was a grandmother whose heart overflowed with love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her kitchen was a haven of comfort, where many delicious meal were shared. It was not uncommon for family members to elbow each other out of the way in order to get her last stuffed artichoke. Even in her later years when she was a women of fewer words, she made sure to sprinkle a "yoo-hoo" into a lull in the conversation to lighten the mood. Her family knew they had her unwavering support where ever life took them. Lucille was an anchor for all with her strength and love, she reigned as matriarch of our clan and will forever be missed.
She is survived by her two loving daughters Darlene Blanchette and Gail Lessard and husband Raymond all of Southington; five grandchildren Jessica Blanchette, Robin Borchard and husband Peter, Shana Gagliardi and husband William, Ryan Lessard and husband Jeff and Leslie McLaughlin and husband Patrick; eleven great grandchildren Alyssa, Zachary, Taylor, Ariana, Payton, Alora, Brynn, Bryce, Cole, Cade, Callan and a great great granddaughter Rowan arriving in March. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son-in-law Robert Blanchette, four brothers, Joseph Jr., John, William and Robert and three sisters Anna Sciola, Adeline (Dolly) Kearney and Shirley White.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington. She will be laid to rest in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday morning prior to the Mass from 8:30-10:30 am. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington.
