

She was born on Feb. 21, 1915 in Torrington, the daughter of the late David and Anna (Villforth) Stewart. She was a 1932 graduate of Torrington High School and in 1935 graduated from New Britain Teachers College. Mrs. Dillon was a Kindergarten Teacher in Southington for over 30 years, she taught at Beecher St., Holcomb and Central Elementary Schools. She was a volunteer for Bradley Memorial Hospital?s Thrift shop and a member of the Ham and Pickle Club. She loved to travel with her late husband and enjoyed the Saratoga horse races and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
She is survived by a son Walter J. Dillon Jr. and wife Maura, a daughter Nancy LeBlanc and husband Denis all of Southington, 5 cherished grandchildren, Brian LeBlanc and wife Ashley, Daniel LeBlanc, Neal, Courtney and Kathleen Dillon and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Betty Stewart and brothers, David, John, Charles and Lawrence Stewart.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Andrew House in New Britain for their compassionate care.
Funeral services will be held on Monday 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Aloysius Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4-6 p.m.
