Marie Mangan

Our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother (and Memere? to all) was born on July 12, 1922, in Waterbury and was the daughter of the late Leo and Georgianne ( Norman) Dumond.

She proudly served in, and was honorably discharged from the US Army; and held lifetime memberships with the organizations of the American Legion, the Disabled American Veterans, and the Loyal Order of Moose. Marie loved to sew, knit and crochet and we each cherish all the things she made for us.

Marie is survived by her four daughters, Leanne Valengavich and her husband John of New Britain, Kathleen Rogalski and her husband Richard ( with whom she made her home), Flora Jean Hapgood, and Pamela Mangan and her fiance` Keith Adams all of Avondale, AZ, seven grandchildren, Amoreena Cook and husband Mike of Willmington, NC, Karen Mozden, Christopher Rogalski, David Rogalski, No-El Hapgood, all of Avondale, AZ, Erin Bennedum and husband Charles, Shelton, Shannon Wilbur and her fiance` Mike Branda of Beacon, NY; and four great grandchildren, Griffin Patrick Cook, Tayler Lynn Mozden, Andrea Catherine Mozden, and Hailey Autumn Rogalski. She also leaves her devoted companion and caregiver Georgia Ramirez. She leaves a brother Felix J.Dumond of FL and a sister Louise Kopchak of Phoenix, AZ She was predeceased by her sister Blanche and brother George.

We will miss our dear Mom and Memere` who was very active in all our lives. We wish to thank the Palm Valley Hospice Care center in Goodyear, Arizona for their loving care of our Mother in her last days. There are not enough words of praise and thanks to express the works of these 'Angels of Mercy and Kindness" do in the care of our loved ones.

The funeral will be held on Friday, October 19 at 10 AM from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. Southington to St Andrew's Church 396 Church St. in New Britain for a mass at 11 AM, followed by Military Honors.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Palm Valley PCU and mailed to Hospice of the Valley, 13575 W. McDowell Rd., Goodyear, AZ 85338-2604.
