Marie Ann Morin

Marie A. (LaMonico) Morin passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 28th, 2025. Marie was born October 23, 1932 in Bristol, CT to the late James and Anna (DiPinto) LaMonico.

For many years, Marie was a familiar and cherished face at LaMonico’s Restaurant in Bristol, the family business where she touched many lives with her kindness and hospitality. Marie was always ready, willing and able to feed everyone, whether at the restaurant or at home….no one ever left her table hungry and all were welcome!!

Marie leaves behind her beloved family, husband of 68 years, Wilfred Morin, daughter Lori Hackling and son-in-law Ray, son Jeffrey Morin and daughter-in-law Donna and daughter-in-law Denise Morin.

Marie also leaves behind her 6 grandchildren Zackary Morin and wife Melana, Tyler Morin and wife Lindsey, Lauren Wilson and husband Matthew, James Morin, Michael Morin and wife Michelle, Raymond Hackling, her 6 great grandchildren, sister Mae Ann “Babe” Dess, sisters-in-law Geraldine Covalesky, Theresa Poharcyk and Lucy LaMonico, along with several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Marie is predeceased by her son John”Jay” Morin, sister Madeline Battisto and brother Phillip LaMonico.

A period of visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th, 2025, from 11:00AM-1:45PM, with prayers to follow at 1:45PM, at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Street, Southington.
