Marion Abell

Born August 31, 1926 in Illian, NY, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Marion (Benkler) Backman.

Marion retired from Ridgewood Nursing Home after 25 years of service. She was voted employee of the year in 1989 by the Southington Chamber of Commerce after being nominated by her patients and coworkers. She loved her family, flower gardens, and her Heavenly Father.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her four children, Maureen Orlando and Phyllis Mirasola both of Bristol and Warren and James Abell both of Southington; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She also leaves one brother and one sister. She was predeceased by three brothers and a sister.
