Mrs. DeSorbo was born in Enfield, CT, the daughter of the late Martin and Delia (Bedard) Hayden. She had been a resident of Southington for over 50 years.
Prior to her retirement in 1980, she operated the DeSorbo Insurance Agency, established in 1950 by her late husband.
She is survived by her children, Doreen DeSorbo Gibbons of Oakville and Block Island, RI, and Alexander DeSorbo Jr. of Woodbury; her grandchildren Brenden Gibbons, Evan DeSorbo, Justin DeSorbo and Sabrina DeSorbo; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Southington, on Monday Oct. 18, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
