

Born in White Plains, NY on January 11, 1956, she was the daughter of the late William and Edith (Zimmermann) Crawford. She graduated from Mercy College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education. She had an over 30-year career in teaching with the last three years at Slocum School in Waterbury.
Mary was a very passionate person. She was an avid equestrian, gardener and earned a black belt in Karate. She also loved to talk about politics and women’s rights.
Most of all Mary loved her family and leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Mary Hammond, son James Adams, four grandchildren, Jada Delgado, Sophia and Morgana Mediavilla and Sofia Pignataro all of whom she resided with. Mary is also survived by her brother Bill Crawford and his wife Alicia of Pleasantville, NY, her nephews Will Crawford of NY City, and Tim Crawford of Pleasantville.
