

Mary Ann Testa, 78, of Southington, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026. A lifelong resident of Southington, Mary Ann was born on March 31, 1947, to the late Antoinette and Pasquale Testa. She held a deep and abiding love for her hometown, where she built a life centered on family, faith, and friendship.
Above all, Mary Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She is predeceased by her beloved children, Donald Grayson Jr. and Shelly Pierce (Grayson). She carried their memory with her always.
She is survived by the light of her life, her son, Donald Grayson, and his beautiful wife, Jennifer Upton Grayson; and her cherished grandchildren, Xavier Grayson, Hannah Varney, and Darby Pierce. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she took immense pride in each of them. She is also survived by her brother Joseph Testa.
Mary Ann was a devoted and active member of St. Thomas Church, where she contributed her time and energy in many meaningful ways over the years. She proudly served as President of the St. Thomas Ladies’ Guild on multiple occasions and was actively involved in the church’s Passion Play. Her faith and dedication to her church community were a cornerstone of her life.
She attended Burdett College in Boston, Massachusetts, a city she came to love deeply and remained fond of throughout her life. She was also a lifelong and passionate fan of the Boston Red Sox, always cheering on her team with enthusiasm.
Mary Ann had a vibrant and social spirit. She loved going out to eat, trying new foods, and sharing those experiences with others. She truly loved people—she never missed an opportunity to strike up a conversation, make a new friend, or brighten someone’s day. Her warmth and friendliness made her a familiar and beloved presence throughout the Southington community.
Mary Ann will be remembered for her kindness, her deep faith, her love of community, and the joy she found in connecting with others. Her legacy of love and friendship will live on in all who knew her.
A visitation for Mary Ann will be held at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Southington, CT 06489, on Sunday March 29, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Her funeral will begin from the Della Vecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. Southington at 10:15 am on Monday March 30, 2026. A Mass of Christian Burial will then be celebrated at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St. Southington, at 11:00 am.
Burial will follow at Saint Thomas Cemetery, Meriden Ave., Southington.
