Mary Grieco

Mary (Diorio) Grieco,92, passed away Dec. 1, 2013 in Chester, VT and her husband Angelo Grieco, 89, of Cheshire, passed away on Thursday February 27, 2014 at Grace Cottage Hospital in Townshend, VT. Angelo was born on July 4, 1924 in Southington and was the son of the late Anthony and Bertha (Bruno) Grieco. Mary was born on March 16, 1921 in Cheshire and was the daughter of the late Donate and Catrina Diorio.

Angelo was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Army. He retired Clark Brothers Bolt after many years of service. They were parishioners of St. Bridget’s Church, Cheshire’

They are survived by their daughter, Joanne Dyson and husband Ernie of Chester, VT; four grandchildren. Tanya, Joey and Jamie Dyson all of Chester, VT and Tammy Havlir of Claremont, NH; nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson and several nieces and nephews. Angelo was predeceased his brother, Joe Grieco and two sisters, Roselyn and Helen Grieco. Mary was predeceased by a brother Vincent Diorio.

Their funeral will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 9 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire for a Mass at 10a.m. Burial with military honors will at St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m.
