Mary Louise Hart

Mary was born in Winsted, Connecticut on December 20, 1917. Mary was the middle child of the family which included older brother Francis and younger sister Mildred. Mary attended Gilbert High School in Winsted. She enrolled in St Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in Waterbury, CT in 1936, where she graduated with a degree in nursing and started her career as a registered nurse at St Mary's Hospital. Mary married Quentin on August 30, 1940 in the St Peter Paul church in Waterbury, Connecticut. They established their home in Wolcott, Connecticut where they raised their three children. Mary was a talented artist in oil and watercolor painting and was a member of the Watertown Art League where she had numerous exhibitions of her work. Mary was a loving mother and wife, and faithful friend. She possessed an open and easygoing manner and a zest for life that endeared her to all that met her.

She is survived by her sons, Roger of Terryville, and Neil of Cary NC, and daughter, Lynne Koenemund of Waterbury, her 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 24th at 10 AM at St. Pius X Church/ St. Basil Parish 525 Woodtick Road in Wolcott. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Interment will follow in New St Joseph Cemetery in Waterbury. Neighbors and friends are invited to memorial calling hours on Sunday, June 23rd from 3 to 5 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Road in Wolcott.
