She was born on October 2, 1941 daughter of the late Otto and Mary (Strachan) Rechenberg.
Mary Jane was a Registered Nurse, graduating from the Waterbury Hospital Nursing Program in 1962.
Mary Jane is survived by her brother John Rechenberg and wife Susan of Bristol, nephews Jon Rechenberg and wife Jaime of E. Granby, and Keith Rechenberg of Bristol, niece Stacey Rechenberg Marsh and husband Frank of Bristol, four grand nieces and nephews Lauren and Colin Rechenberg and Chase and Luke Marsh, along with several cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Friday September 5, 2014 at South End Cemetery, South End Road, Plantsville. Calling hours are on Thursday from 6-8 pm at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington.
