

Mary (Churchelow) Lemieux of Southington, passed away on July 31, 2014, at CT Hospice in Branford, surrounded by her loving family, after enjoying a long and happy life. She was the wife of the late Ernest J. Lemieux.
Mary was born in Waterbury on September 19, 1919 , and was the daughter of the late John and Eva (Felatova) Churchelow. She had lived in Wolcott and had graduated from Leavenworth HS , going to Greenwich Hospital School of Nursing receiving her R.N. from the State of CT. Mary enjoyed many years of nursing.
She was a Southington resident for more than 58 years and a parishioner of St. Aloysius Church.
Mary loved the outdoors, tending to and observing the activities of the wild birds that flocked to her feeder. She was also creative, and had an eye for color enjoying arts and crafts such as stenciling, knitting and crocheting and quilting.
Mary is survived by her three children Michele E. Lemieux of Bristol, Nancy P. Lemieux and her husband William Metzler of Morrisville, VT, and Paul E. Lemieux and his wife Carol of Milldale three grandsons Lawrence A. Marciano of Los Angeles California, Albert Fiorillo of Plainville and Christopher Fiorillo of Southington, a grandaughter Lily Belle Lemieux Metzler of Vermont, great-grandson Ryan Fiorillo of Plainville and a great-grandaughter Alivia Fiorillo of Southington. She is also survived by a sister Eunice Alessio of Wolcott along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Helen Skjdering and brothers Alexander, Michael and Peter Churchelow.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, August 5, 2014, from 11am until 12 noon at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. Southington followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Aloysius Church 254 Burritt St. in Plantsville at 12:30pm. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury.
