

She was born on November 9, 1923 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Vito and Angela Marie (Pace) Nardozza. Prior to her retirement she was an Ophthalmologists assistant for Dr. Palumbo and Dr. Newman in Waterbury. Mary was a parishioner and one of the original founders of St. Aloysius Church. She was an Incorporator and longtime volunteer at Bradley Memorial Hospital as well as a member of the hospital's Women's Auxiliary. She was a member of the YMCA seniors, the Calendar House and Southington Women's Club.
She is survived by her children, Mark L. and his wife Nancy Ricciardelli of Old Saybrook, John M. and his wife Kathy Ricciardelli of East Hartford, Nicholas G. Ricciardelli and Katie McKenna of Waterbury, 6 grandchildren, Paul Jason and his wife Carrie, Geoff Alan and his wife Joanne, Pace, Mara, Nicole and Ron, 4 great-grandchildren, Mia, Geoff, Mason and Liam, and a sister-in-law Eve Nardozza. She was predeceased by a son Paul H. Ricciardelli.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Southington Care Center for their love and diligent service over the past four years.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 9:15am from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Thomas Church at 10 am. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4-7pm.
