Mary Savage

She was born on March 15, 1925, in Waterbury, one of twelve children born to the late Dennis and Mary (McCarthy) Sullivan. She was a graduate of Lewis High School in Southington and St. Mary?s Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for many years. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her five sons, Mark Savage of Portland, OR; Thomas Savage of Washington D.C.; Jeffrey Savage of San Francisco, CA; Philip Savage and his wife Gail of Guilford, CT; and Brian Savage and his wife Gretel of Ormond Beach, FL. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Isabel Kelly-Savage and Gabriel Savage; a sister, Sr. Dennis Marie Sullivan of Hartford; a brother, Thomas Sullivan of North Grovenorsdale; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter Mary Savage; her brothers, Joseph, Jack, William, Roger, Stephen and David; and her sisters, Anne Grise, Esther Sullivan and Helen Fox.

The Funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St to St. Thomas Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at South End Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.
