A Memorial Reception for MaryEllen Bridges, who died December 28th, 2023, will be held Tuesday April 30th, 2024 from 4-7 pm at the Aqua Turf Club, 556 Mulberry Street, Plantsville, CT 06479. MaryEllen (Gabriel) Bridges, age 76, died from cancer on December 28, 2023 after a brief illness. She was born April 30, 1947 and was a lifelong resident of South Meriden. She is survived by her mother Jane (Testa) Gabriel of Meriden, her sister Susan (Gabriel) Johnson of Cape Coral, FL and her husband of 51 years William R Bridges of Meriden. MaryEllen attended Platt High School in Meriden and UConn where she received a degree in Business Administration. She was employed by International Silver Company and World Tableware for many years. MaryEllen’s first love were her many dogs. The most recent being “Boomer” who went everywhere with her. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and UConn basketball. She was dedicated to helping her family.
