Maureen C. Beers

Born April 26, 1937 in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Grace E. (Rivers) Beers. Maureen retired from the Travelers and Amica Insurance Companies. She was a parishioner of St. Dominic Church, a member of the YMCA and the Spring Lake #9 Social Committee.

She is survived by her sister, Margaret Griffin of Southington; a brother, Michael Beers and wife Carol of OK; two nieces, Susan Beers of Ellington and Vickie (Beers) Porter of OK; three nephews, William T. Beers of Ellington, Michael Beers of FL and Leonard Beers of OK and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, William J. Beers and wife Lucille.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington for a mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the Maple Cemetery in Berlin.
