

Maureen Platt, 72, of Southington, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014 at home. She was the wife of the late BG Ariel Platt, daughter of the late Margaret and Forest Wetmore and sister of the late Barbara Hamilton.
She is survived by her loving and devoted sons and spouses, Forest and Caro Platt of Elkridge, MD; Jonathan and Allison Platt of Southington, Ethan and Jennifer Platt of Portland, her cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Kimberly, Hannah, Noah and Sarah. She also leaves siblings David (Lois) Wetmore of Meriden, Kevin (Eleanor) Wetmore of Cheshire, Elaine Ford of MA and Paul (Melinda) Wetmore of CA also brothers-in-law Robert Hamilton of New Hampshire and Ted Platt of Wallingford. She is also survived by many good friends in the Mary Our Queen Knitting Ministry, Ladies Guild, Book Club, SLV social Committee, Bocci Team, Theater Group, Knitting Knuts and Wednesday night Happy Hour Friends.
The family wishes to acknowledge Dr. Jeremy Kortmansky of Yale Cancer Center and Dr. Gerard Fumo of Midstate Hospital for their compassionate care.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014 at 9:15 am from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St. Plantsville for a Mass. Burial will be at South End Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday from 4-8pm.
