Michael Erskine Earnheart, a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and U.S. Army veteran, passed away peacefully at Salmon Brook Center in Glastonbury, Connecticut, on November 10, 2025. He was 77 years old.
Born on December 3, 1947, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, to the late Erskine and Katherine (Wilson) Earnheart, Michael lived a full and active life, one marked by both hard work and a deep love for his family. He spent many years employed as a thermographer at Oconee Power Station, where his sharp eye and attention to detail were essential to his work.
A passionate participant in the world around him, Michael was always up-to-date on modern-day politics and loved engaging in spirited debates with anyone who shared his interest. Outside of work and politics, Michael found joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time on the golf course, enjoying a friendly game of bowling, and meticulously manicuring his lawn. A lover of the outdoors, he cherished the sun and the beauty of nature.
Michael is survived by his two sons, Ryan Earnheart and his wife, Rebecca, and Craig Earnheart; his grandchildren, Charlotte, Aria, Caroline, Novaleigh, Valor and Leighton; his brother, Gerald; and his two sisters, Brenda and Beverly. His family was his pride and joy, and he loved them deeply. He was preceded in death by his late wife Kimberly (Fowler) Earnheart who passed in 2017 after a courageous battle with ALS. Michael was her devoted caregiver and committed to his vows of in sickness and in health.
A U.S. Army veteran, Michael proudly served his country during his time in the service, and his loyalty to his family and country remained steadfast throughout his life.
In honor of his wishes, all services will be held privately with his family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Michael's memory be made to a charity of choice.
