

Michael F. Kaminsky, 79, of the Plantsville section of Southington passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Southington Care Center. He was the husband of the late Bridget (Vincent) Kaminsky for 35 years.
Born on July 27, 1935 in New Britain to the late Michael and Anna (Sirotnak) Kaminsky he attended Goodwin Tech in New Britain and the University of Hartford. He was an Air Force Veteran. Mike worked for General Electric in Bristol and Stanley Works in both New Britain and Farmington for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Thomas Church and the American Legion. Mike enjoyed going to the movies, the casino and fishing when he could.
He is survived by his children, Helen Kaminsky of Plantsville, John and his wife Cheryl Kaminsky of Southington, Maria Scricca of Plantsville and Michele and her husband Gary Kinney of St. Petersburg, FL. He also leaves his four loving grandchildren Matthew, Brian, Danielle and Bridget. He was predeceased by a brother Jake Kaminsky and a sister Jane Lux.
The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Babiarz and the staff of Southington Care Center for all their kindness and loving care of Michael.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, August 14 at 9:15 from DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington to St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St., Southington for an 10 am Mass. Military Honors will be presented after the Mass. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 13 from 4-7 pm at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations in Mike's memory can be made to Southington Care Center, Recreation & Activity Fund, 45 Meriden Avenue, Southington, CT 06489.
