

Michele Testa, 87, of Southington, died peacefully on Friday, Dec. 25, 2015 at the Hospital of Central CT, New Britain. He was the loving husband of Maria (DiGiacomo) Testa for 59 years and devoted father to Mark Testa
Born Dec. 28, 1927 in Alvignanello, Italy, Michele was the son of the late Marco and Caterina (Fasulo) Testa. He was a long-time employee of Ideal Forging Corp., and parishioner of St. Thomas Church, as well as proud member of the Sons of Italy. Michele had a passion for gardening, hunting, winemaking and bocce. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and the joy of his life, his grandchildren.
Besides his wife, Michele is survived by his son, Mark M. Testa and wife Diane of Southington; sister Maria Galietti of Italy; grandchildren Jessica and Michael Testa; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his youngest son Giuseppe Testa, his two brothers, Antonio and Frank Testa, and two sisters, Vincenza Giano and Gilda Fortini.
The Funeral will be held Tuesday 9:15 am from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St. for a Mass at 10 am. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday 5-8 pm.
