Mildred Gasparini

Born August 19, 1913 in Stamford, CT, a daughter of the late Joseph and Concetta Longo.

Mildred was a seamstress for Kensington Fashion of New Britain for over 45 years until her retirement. She loved family gatherings, gardening and cooking.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Beth Gasparini of Plainville; a sister Ida Bombaci of Rocky Hill ; three grandchildren, Shannon and her husband Ron, Dea and Colleen; a great grandson Cole. She was predeceased by two brothers, James and Tony Longo and two sisters, Theresa Tata and Mary Battisto.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery, Plainville. Calling hours will begin prior to the service from 9 to 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the CT Children?s Medical Center Foundation, Inc., 282 Washington St., Hartford, CT 06106.
