Muriel Zehnder

Muriel was born in Waterbury, February 1, 1917, daughter of Alexander and Angeline (Viellette) Tetrault. She was raised in Waterbury and attended St. Anne?s School and Waterbury Catholic High School.

She resided in Cheshire for 35 years before moving to Wolcott in 1989, where she lived until moving to Waterbury in 2006. While living in Cheshire, she worked for the Cheshire School Lunch Program and Bovano?s Gift Shop, but the main focus of her life was always her family.

She is survived by a son Carl Zehnder Jr. and his wife Jane of Southington, a daughter, Donna Kiernan and her husband John of Watertown; five grandchildren, Amy Daddona, and husband Steven, Betsy Smith, and husband Tyler, Brian Zehnder, and wife Kristi, all of Southington, Patrick Kiernan of SanDiego, CA, and Daniel Kiernan of Watertown; and five great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Ryan Daddona, Kaley and Megan Smith, and Grace Zehnder all of Southington. She is also survived by a sister, Doris Collins and a brother, Robert Tetrault both of Waterbury, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Blanche Robinson, and a brother Joseph Tetrault.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday March 27, 2010 at 12:30 PM at St. Pius X Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
