One of her passions was singing, which she indulged through years long participation in the Sacred Heart Church Choir (Southbury, CT) and the acapella group, Femina Melodia. In addition to her love of the arts, she was also a passionate gardener and enthusiastic knitter and crafter. She earned her Master Gardener credential in Rhode Island and worked in community gardens in Kingston, RI, and Waterbury, CT, helping to grow vegetables for outreach organizations.
