
She was born March 19, 1925 in Meriden, daughter of the late John and Norah (Tuohy) Paul. Prior to her retirement, she was an administrative assistant for the Social Security Administration. She was a veteran of the Korean War Era serving with the U.S. Navy Waves. She had dual membership in the American Legion and the Auxiliary of the Kiltonic Post #72. During the 1940?s she took part in the Red Cross first blood drives in Southington. She was instrumental in starting the Catholic Family Services bereavement program and also the DellaVecchia Funeral Home?s bereavement program.
Noreen was an avid painter for over 15 years and had taken several art classes at the Calendar House. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church.
She is survived by her children, Michael Pintarich and his wife Bonnie of Greensboro, N.C, Stephen Pintarich and his wife Barbara, John Pintarich and his wife Patricia, Nora Dorau and her husband Steven all of Southington, a brother Thomas Sullivan of Southington, 2 sisters, Elizabeth Gara of Orange and Leola Topshe of VT, her grandchildren Christopher and his wife Kaitlyn, Jennifer Dorau, Amanda, Emily, Benjamin, Sabrina and Billy Pintarich and Lauren Dorau, several nieces, nephews and many special friends. She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Winifred Herbest and Georgine James and 2 brothers, John and James Paul.
The Funeral will be held Thursday, 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Thomas Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be with military honors at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday 4-8 p.m.
