
Born in Laurierville, P.Q. , Canada on Septermber 30, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Rodrigue and Maria (Vezina) Pelletier. In 1949 she moved to Waterbury with her husband Ovid. She was very proud of her French-Canadian heritage and in 1989 was the Franco-American Mayor for the Day. She also served on the boards of the Federation Feminine Franco-Americaine, Cercle Marie-Ange, and the Union Franco-Americaine du Connecticut.
Olyvette was also very active at St. Anne Church in the St. Anne School Mothers Club, the Ladies of St. Anne, Sr. Yvonne's Workshop, and sang in their French Choir.
Olyvette is survived by a daughter Ginette and her husband Robert Clement of Goshen, two grandchildren Suzanne Clement of Torrington, USMC Lt. Christopher Clement currently stationed in VA, and three great grandchildren, Johnathan Warner, Dakota and William Goodwin. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a son Steven Provencher.
Funeral will be Saturday February 9, 2008 leaving DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott at 10:30 AM to the Shrine of St. Anne for a Mass at 11AM. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
