

Paul James Albert, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on March 12, 1932, in Madawaska, Maine, Paul was the cherished son of the late Levite and Mary Jane (Cyr) Albert.
A proud veteran of the Korean War, Paul served his country with honor before settling in Connecticut, where he built a life rooted in love, family, and hard work. He devoted 39 years to Fafnir Bearing Company, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.
For 69 beautiful years, Paul was the loving husband of Altine (Deschaine) Albert. Together, they created a close-knit family filled with laughter, love, and lasting memories.
Paul is survived by his children: Karen and her husband John, Cathy, and his son Kevin. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Dawn, Sara, Candice, Kara, Tyler, and Logan, and his great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Nathan, Alexis, Gavin, Michael, Brandyn, and Christopher.
He was predeceased by his brothers Clarence and Leo, his sister Joann, stepbrother Harvey, granddaughter Jaimee, and his son-in-law Tom.
Paul will be remembered for his warm sense of humor, his love of telling jokes, and his passion for watching wrestling and UConn basketball. He enjoyed playing pool & Charlemagne. Paul was also a proud member of the Franco American Club & French Club, where he formed lasting friendships and shared many good times.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington. Burial with Military Honors will take place at St. Thomas Cemetery.
