Raymond was born at home on Bristol Street in Southington on Feb. 7, 1929, the son of the late Manfred and Genevieve (Muszynski) Fusco. Ray loved building and flying large scale model airplanes in his youth. He attended local schools and was drafted during the Korean War, where he served his country faithfully as a member of the United States Army. After his service, Ray went to work for General Electric in Plainville until his retirement.
Ray never married or had children of his own, but he loved his family more than words can say. He never missed a holiday, birthday, or family gathering of any kind. He was a genuinely kind, gentle, and honest man, who lived to love his family.
He is survived by his brother Edward and his wife Hail Fusco, his nephews, John Fusco of Southington, Edward Fusco Jr. and his wife Marie, of Colchester, their daughter Jennifer and her husband Matt Galante of Colchester, and son James and his wife Nicole, of Ashford, CT, and all his precious little ones; Matty, Riley, Ava, and Evan.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his nephew James Fusco and his great niece Olivia Fusco.
Funeral services and burial will be private and assisted by DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington.
