Rena Nericcio Middleton

Born April 14, 1924 in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Mary (Grillo) Nericcio.

Rena was employed by the John Dempsey Hospital for 22 years. She was a great cook and loved knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by four children, Judith Duquette and husband James of Southington, Andrew Middleton of Somers, David Middleton and wife Arlene of Bristol and Robert Middleton and wife Sandra of TN; a brother Fred Nericcio of Fl; eight grandchildren, Jacqueline, Laura, Maureen, Scott, Tammy, Wendy, Jessica and Tyler; two great grandchildren Jenna and Ryan; former daughter-in-law Sandra Middleton many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, David, Joseph, Rudy and John Nericcio and four sisters Theresa Dziezynski, Margaret Bertolini, Pauline Plossay and Jeanmarie Messino-Schoeborn.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Alzheimer?s Resource Center for their extraordinary care of our beloved mother. We would especially like to thank the staff on floor 2A for all the love and affection given to mom everyday.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, 10 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer?s Resource Center, 1261 S. Main St., Plantsville, CT 06479.
